Don't think it's false modesty when I say I'm not an artist. I'm not. I doodle, that's all. I've had very little formal training, and to be frank I'm much more comfortable thinking of doodles rather than ART. There can be so much pressure in that word, really.
The doodles you see here have been done for a number of reasons. Most are just for me, but some have been specifically for displays at work, and a fair number have been for the weekly Illustration Friday prompt. If you like to doodle (or really are an artist) and haven't checked out Illustration Friday, you really should. Having a word a week to interpret is a fantastic way to keep yourself from getting stagnant.
You'll find a few different media types here, and that's because I'm still trying to figure out how to use most of them. I'm most comfortable in graphite and pen and ink, but I'm attempting to do a bit of painting here and there. I have the brush skills of a five-year-old, but I'm game to keep trying. You never learn otherwise, right?
Above all, just keep in mind that this is all amateur, in the true sense of the word. Done for the love of it, and with no other expectations.
